Barack Obama during a CNBC interview on Monday — off camera of course — calls Kanye West a “jackass” for interrupting Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 VMA’s.

The world’s most obese man as decided to tie the knot and get married.

Manuel Uribe says he will commit the remainder of his life and wed long time girlfriend Claudia Solis, on Oct. 26^th 2008 in Monterrey, Mexico. The two will be married in a civil ceremony at a location still to be decided.

Uribe is unable to walk, and leaving his house means being towed through the streets on his specially made bed.

This year the Guinness Book of World Records declared Uribe, who tipped the scales at 1,230 pounds in 2006, the world’s heaviest man.

The world’s smallest snake has been found, just 10cm (4inches) long and as thin as a strand of spaghetti. New species Leptotyphlops carlae, a type of thread snake, was found under a rock in Barbados in the Caribbean.

Dr Hedges at Pennsylvania State University, said,

“It comes fro a group of burrowing snakes and is thought to eat ant and termite larvae. Discovery of this species may help it survive as its forest habitat is under threat. It is difficult to protect a species if you don’t know it exists.”

Comedian Bernie Mac died at Northwestern Memorial hospital in Chicago early Saturday morning. He had an inflammatory lung disease and had been battling pneumonia. Mac was 50 years old. (Aug. 09)
